About the Artist:
I have been joyfully creating artwork in many forms since I was a young girl. By age 11, I began to sew, knit, crochet, embroider, weave and hook rugs. As a young mother, I had the good fortune of meeting the owner of the Berry Patch in Kinnelon, NJ. Mrs. Berry owned a very tiny craft store where she gave lessons on treasures I had never heard of. I became her most ardent and regular student and spent many hours with her learning to create heirloom balls, pierced and tooled lamp shades, decoupage, repousse made with paper mache over metal, and paper tole. Years later, I took classes in basket weaving and stained glass. And then arthritis in my hands made it difficult to continue working in these varied mediums.
In the winter of 2019, I decided to try watercolor painting. I have been teaching myself via YouTube classes and plain old trial and error. And I have been so blessed to just love the beauty of watercolor and to paint away the hours while sheltering this last year and a half.
I thank you all for your interest in my work.
